Student Council
The Student Council (STUCO) at the American School of Tegucigalpa is a dynamic organization for students in grades 6–12. It serves as the collective voice of the student body, working closely with the administration to strengthen communication, promote leadership, and foster a positive school environment. Through STUCO, students gain hands-on experience with democratic principles, service learning, and civic engagement.
The Council’s mission is to represent student interests, advocate for their needs, build school spirit, and organize activities that enrich the AST experience. STUCO functions as a co-curricular organization that upholds and reflects the core values of AST—leadership, service, voice, and engagement. With its committees and initiatives, Student Council empowers students to lead by example, cultivate leadership skills, and create accessible, inclusive opportunities for all Eagles.
