My name is Liliana Jenkins, and it is my pleasure to welcome you to the American School of Tegucigalpa’s webpage. As an international college-preparatory school, we take pride in setting the highest standards of academic excellence. Our rigorous curriculum includes the International Baccalaureate (IB) Diploma Program for grades 11 and 12, preparing students to excel in a globalized world.

We are committed to fostering positive self-esteem and encouraging every member of our school community to reach their full potential while actively contributing to the vitality of our shared environment. With a richly diverse student body, we embrace and celebrate human and cultural diversity, creating an inclusive space where students learn to take responsibility for their actions, make sound decisions, and grow in wisdom and maturity. Our school is proudly accredited by the Honduran Ministry of Education, Cognia, and the International Baccalaureate Organization.
Our educational program spans from Nursery to Grade 12, supported by a dynamic co-curricular program designed to complement and enrich the academic experience. Students have opportunities to engage in activities such as the National Honor Society, Student Council, Yearbook Club, leadership and skill-building clubs, musical ensembles, drama productions, and community outreach initiatives. Sports play a vital role in our offerings, with competitive and intramural options including soccer, basketball, volleyball, and cross-country. These programs allow students to discover new talents, foster teamwork, and achieve personal growth.

At AST, our motto, “Be Kind, It’s the Eagle Way,” reflects our multi-lingual, multi-cultural student body, talented and dedicated multinational faculty, and supportive parent community. Together, we create a nurturing environment where everyone has the opportunity to achieve excellence.
