The
American School of Tegucigalpa serves
its Pre-School, Elementary, Middle, and High School populations through
two libraries, one at the Elementary School and one at the Middle/High
School areas. At present, a collection is being started for the Pre-School
area. Students and their parents, alumni association members, faculty and staff are welcomed
users and may check materials out for pre-defined loan periods.
Among our visitors are Honduran government officials and persons
from the community. The materials are in different formats and
in both English and Spanish.
MISSION
The libraries' main objective is to collect, preserve, and provide access to materials that support the school’s curriculum, instruct students in research techniques, promote reading with top-quality recreational materials, and provide up-dated information.
