Thank you, thank you, thank you!!! Your generosity during this month of December was extraordinary. Our Toy Drive was a great success. Our students participated every step of the way: Creating the wrapping paper, pulling together candy bags, putting together the treat bags and passing out the toys and treat bags at Hogares Pedro Atala. 180 toys and treat bags were donated. We received a beautiful thank you letter which I am attaching. Once again your help made, both our students and the children at the home, learn about the virtue of being generous.
Kinder students also did a wonderful job with the Empty Bowls activity. Their bowls were beautiful and the purchase of these helped the children of Nueva Suyapa.
Thank you also for your donations for the school’s Christmas baskets. The nannies, bus drivers, maintenance workers and secretaries received a well stocked basket. They will sure enjoy all the items collected. Navidad Sin Frio was also a great success.
The children worked very hard practicing for their Christmas presentations. We hope you enjoyed them! Please remember classes will resume on Wednesday 7th. Our new schedules will be:
• Nursery 11:30 – 2:15
• Pre Kinder 7:30 – 10:45
• Kinder 7:30 – 2:15
For the month of January, pleas keep the following in mind:
1. Report cards will go home on Monday, January 12th
2. On Friday, January 23 we will celebrate the 100 Day of school. You will receive more information about this activity in your child’s weekly letters on January 12 and January 23
3. January 26
– January 30 will be Anti-Bullying week. Students will be involved in many activities to promote this campaign. You will receive more information as the date approaches.
4. On Friday, January 30, will have a Lps.5.00 Colors Day. We hope everyone has a very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year.
