  • The end of the year assembly will be held on Friday, May 28th at 9:00 am on the covered court. All Year Perfect Attendance, Good Citizenship, Humility and Patience Awards will be given out at this time.
  • Dismissal time on May 28th will be 11:00 am.
  • Class lists for next school year 2010-2011 will be again done by computer. Students will be distributed according to performance and behavior. We respectfully ask parents to refrain from requesting teachers for the following year since this cannot be honored.
  • Please check with your child that he/she has library cafeteria and bookstore clearance. Children who have book fees or pending payments will not be able to take home final report cards on the 28th.  
  • Metromedia has all of the English summer books on sale. Please   take a look at the list provided here so you know which are the books your child is expected to read over the summer. Please note that the books your child should read over the summer are under your child’s current grade. Each child is requested to read 2 English books and 1 Spanish book. The Spanish books are on sale in the PTO Bookstore.
  • The School Calendar for 2010 – 2011 can be found in the school web site under school calendar 2010-2011.  The supply lists for each grade level will be sent via courier shortly. Please check the one for your child. The PTO Bookstore will be open   all summer long.  
  • Congratulations to all of the students who participated in the Elementary Musical “The Best of Broadway”.  It was a big hit. Thank you to the 4th and 5th grade students who helped as ushers, to the moms who coordinated the costumes, brought a car and car doors for “Grease”, the teachers who participated in the musical and supervised the smooth running of the show.  Special thanks to Vicky Diaz, we couldn’t have done without her.  Another big thanks to Karen Rivera (2A) who did the logo for our billboard, the tickets and our t-shirts.

A huge applause to Ms Sarah Willett, who solehandedly directed our Best of Broadway Musical.  From the bottom of our hearts, a big thank you for your enthusiasm, patience and many rehearsals.   

  • Summer is a good opportunity to buy the fabric and shirts for the uniform, for August 11th all returning students must wear the complete uniform. As you prepare for vacation!! I would like to remind you of the proper uniform code:
  • Solid dark blue or black shoes only.
  • Tennis: Solid dark blue, white, gray or black only (we don’t accept stripes or drawings in pink, purple, green, red, etc) No tennis shoes for P.E. that have a thin sole and if purchased for daily use, only in the appropriate color.
  • Jackets or sweaters: solid dark blue, black, gray or white or a combination of these colors.
  • Ankle – length white socks. Do not purchase those that cover foot only.
  • Bermuda shorts, made out of school material can be worn up to Grade 3.
